What is EXIF Data?

When you take a photo with your phone or camera, it secretly records hidden data inside the image file. This includes:

  • GPS Coordinates: The exact location (latitude/longitude) where the photo was taken.
  • Timestamps: The precise date and time.
  • Device Info: The phone model, shutter speed, aperture, and software version.

This information can be dangerous if you share photos online, as it can reveal your home address or workplace location to strangers.

How to Remove EXIF Metadata?

  1. Upload Image: Select a JPEG/JPG photo from your device.
  2. Strip Data: Click "Remove Exif Data". We process the file instantly.
  3. Download: Click "Download Clean Image". The new file looks exactly the same but contains NO hidden metadata.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this reduce image quality?

No. We only remove the metadata header. The actual image pixel data remains untouched.

Why can't I upload PNGs?

PNGs do not typically store EXIF data in the same way as JPEGs. This tool is specifically built to clean JPEG/JPG privacy leaks.
